Analysis: Bitcoin long-term holders have remained profitable throughout this cycle, marking the first time since 2015.

Glassnode’s report indicates that Bitcoin’s long-term holders (LTHs) have remained profitable throughout this cycle. Since 2015, no previous bear market has seen this dynamic. In every prior bear cycle, the LTH MVRV ratio fell below 1 at the cycle’s low point, signaling the group as a whole was in unrealized losses. However, for this cycle, the LTH-MVRV ratio stayed above 1 even at its lowest level and has now started rising again.

The White House has set up a Superintelligence Task Force to assess AI risks and opportunities within 120 days.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, the White House has established the "Super Intelligence Force" task force, chaired by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. The body will assess AI risks and opportunities within 120 days, clarify federal government responsibilities, and study how to ensure the U.S. maintains its leadership in the superintelligence field while safeguarding American public interests. The task force views the AI industry as the primary force for managing technological risks, but will collaborate with enterprises to identify risks and opportunities, and review existing laws as well as potential measures Congress may take. Its mandate requires developing plans to address social threats related to superintelligence, while avoiding stifling innovation and competition due to overregulation or regulatory capture. The group will also evaluate early warning and government notification mechanisms for incidents such as data breaches, cyberattacks and model jailbreaks. It has three deputy chairs, responsible respectively for coordinating stakeholders in AI enterprises, critical infrastructure and other industries, as well as issues related to consumers, children, privacy and free speech. Members include U.S. Vice President Vance, Secretary of Defense Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Bessent and White House Chief of Staff Wells, among others; David Sacks and former U.S. Secretary of State Rice will serve as external advisors. The work may be extended beyond the 120-day period if necessary, or transferred to other government agencies.

Benson Sun: Bitcoin is seeing active capital support in the $83,000 to $84,000 range, with obvious buying response.

Coinkarma founder Benson Sun posted that around 11 PM on October 1, U.S. stocks and gold weakened simultaneously, but the Binance BTC/USDT spot market saw consecutive market buy orders of roughly 400 BTC, supporting the price above $84,000, with the final candlestick closing as a doji. Around 1:30 AM on October 3, within the same price range, the market briefly had market sell orders of around 1,400 BTC, which pushed the price down sharply to form a long lower wick before the level held. Candlestick data shows sell orders of roughly 100 BTC appeared every few seconds at the time, but every price dip was quickly reversed by buy orders. Benson Sun pointed out that this range highly overlaps with the $83,000-$84,000 zone where on-chain holdings have accumulated rapidly recently. Based on spot order flow and on-chain data, there is active capital support in this price range, and buy orders have responded noticeably once BTC enters this zone.
