Polymarket files suit against the Hague Court seeking to overturn the Dutch ban.

According to a report by Financial Daily, Polymarket has filed a lawsuit with the Hague Court, seeking to overturn the Dutch ban on it and restore its market access. The Dutch Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) classified Polymarket as an unlicensed gambling platform rather than a prediction market in February this year, ordering it to cease services to Dutch users. Since Polymarket suspended services past the deadline, Ksa has imposed a fine of 420,000 euros. Polymarket intends to argue in court that its event contracts are more similar to financial products such as futures, and should be regulated by the Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) instead of Ksa.

In the afternoon, she drove straight to Hsinchu for a closed-door meeting with TSMC, the leading wafer foundry giant. Amid surging demand for AI computing, Su confirmed that AMD’s previously announced $10 billion (approximately NT$317.6 billion) supply chain investment plan in Taiwan is not only on track, but has also been scaled up due to explosive market demand. The company will continue to expand its supply chain investments in Taiwan going forward. Su emphasized that close collaboration between AMD and its key suppliers and partners is of utmost importance. Regarding the supply status of chips such as CPUs and GPUs, Su noted that this is an exciting time for all computing sectors. This year, AMD has significantly ramped up production driven by overall market demand, but demand still outpaces supply.
