Pyth DAO passes a proposal to allocate 100% of its product revenue to increase holdings of PYTH.

Pyth DAO has announced the passage of proposal OP-PIP-136, committing to allocate 100% of funds received from its Pyth products to purchasing PYTH tokens for its reserves, covering Pyth Pro subscriptions, Listing as a Service, the Data Marketplace, and Pyth Indices. Previously, reserves had conducted monthly open-market purchases since December 2025, using one-third of the DAO’s non-PYTH balance per transaction and requiring separate votes for each purchase. The new policy replaces this with a one-time long-term authorization, and existing non-PYTH assets will also be included in the same purchase path. The first batch of purchases under the new rule was executed on September 30, with the DAO’s current PYTH reserve holdings standing at approximately 42 million tokens.

Current funding rates across mainstream centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) exchanges show the market has turned bearish once again.

According to Coinglass data, as Bitcoin has continued its downward trend to fall below $81,000 and Ethereum has dropped below $2,500, funding rates on major centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) crypto exchanges signal the market has turned bearish again. Specific funding rates are detailed in the attached chart. BlockBeats Note: The funding rate is a mechanism set by cryptocurrency trading platforms to align contract prices with underlying asset values, primarily applicable to perpetual contracts. It acts as a fund transfer between long and short traders—trading platforms do not collect this fee. The rate adjusts the cost or profit of holding contracts, ensuring contract prices stay closely tied to underlying asset prices. A 0.01% funding rate is the benchmark. A rate above 0.01% signals broad market bullishness, while a rate below 0.005% indicates widespread bearish sentiment.
