OpenAI 28-Day Sprint Day 6: No New Features, Direct Global Quota Reset

Beating AI News reports that Thibault Sottiaux, OpenAI’s Head of Products and Platforms, announced Day 6 of the company’s 28-day product sprint. Instead of unveiling new features, he revealed a global usage quota reset, stating the reset would be completed by the end of the day. Per OpenAI’s earlier commitment, the company pledged to either roll out an update daily over the 28-day period that delivers noticeable improvements to most Codex and ChatGPT Work users, or reset usage quotas. Unlike the banked reset (a reserve quota reset opportunity) offered on Day 3, this global reset automatically refreshes usage quotas for eligible accounts, requiring no manual action from users and cannot be saved for later use.
