Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy confirmed that an administrative building at Saudi Aramco's headquarters in Dhahran, Eastern Province, was attacked and suffered a "limited fire". No casualties have been reported so far, and the actual damage from the attack remains unclear. Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition stated that ballistic missiles targeting Haradh and Dhahran in Eastern Province were intercepted, with interception debris falling into residential areas of Dhahran. At the time of the attack, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree threatened to launch a "severe and painful" response to the Saudi-led coalition's strike on Sanaa, warning that it may target oil facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province and Riyadh. Meanwhile, executives from major energy firms including ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, BP, and TotalEnergies have withdrawn from the World Petroleum Congress being held in Riyadh, as regional security risks have further escalated. U.S. President Donald Trump said he has discussed the recent attacks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, accusing the Houthis of possibly attempting to push up oil prices ahead of the U.S. midterm elections with Iranian backing. Trump noted that he may ask Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to join operations against the Houthis in Yemen, warning that actions will continue even after the November 3 midterm elections.
