Beating AI Express: Kuaishou’s Kling AI fully launched Kling 4.0 on October 15. Earlier, Kling 4.0 Flash was rolled out to select paid users for testing at the end of September. Compared to version 3.0, the new model extends single video generation duration from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, and supports up to 10 keyframes, letting creators specify character movements, scene changes, and shot rhythms. Its all-round reference function has also been upgraded, allowing a maximum combination of 15 materials at a time, including images, videos, and character subjects. Creators can have the AI reference camera movements and actions of existing videos, then replace characters, products, or backgrounds within them. According to Kazz’s test, generating a 30-second 1080P video requires 450 points, which translates to around 16 yuan based on its membership pricing, excluding the cost of repeated generations. Kling has also upgraded its creation page, adding timeline, canvas, and Agent functions, and supports calling Kling 4.0 via MCP and CLI, enabling AI Agents to auto-generate videos and batch-produce materials. That said, 4K output is not a new feature—it was already supported in version 3.0. The truly new additions: 10-bit HDR output, up to 2-minute video continuation, and Kling 4.0 API for developers, are yet to be launched.

Crypto analyst Darkfost noted in a post that the BTC funding rate on Binance has turned negative, currently standing at -0.0073%. A negative funding rate typically signals strong market short demand, with the overall derivatives market sentiment clearly leaning bearish. The last time this occurred was in June this year, when BTC traded around $62,000. It is important to note that Binance’s funding rate formula uses a 0.01% interest rate parameter, so the neutral funding rate is not 0% but 0.01%. The current rate falling below zero means short positions have clearly gained the upper hand. This signal warrants attention, especially against the backdrop of this week’s underperforming macroeconomic data: both U.S. CPI and PPI came in higher than expected, further stoking market expectations of future interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve. Meanwhile, BTC has seen a notable correction since breaking above $87,000 a few days ago. Historically, when the market forms a highly consistent bearish outlook, prices sometimes move in the opposite direction, which may indicate a trend reversal, though the duration of such reversals varies widely. While this signal has reference value, traders still need to carefully develop entry strategies in combination with key technical levels. Two key price levels to monitor currently are $80,000 and $74,000.

The AI task force established by US President Donald Trump held its inaugural meeting on Thursday, agreeing to address risks related to cybersecurity, biosecurity, and "model control and accountability". Amid growing external concerns over the potential dangers of artificial intelligence, the US government is ramping up focus on such risks. According to meeting minutes released by the White House, the body dubbed the "SuperIntelligenceForce" (Superintelligence Task Force) will task the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology with drafting a report evaluating the aforementioned risks and other potential issues. "Superintelligence" is an AI-related term favored by Trump. The White House added that the task force will also "develop relevant protocols and mechanisms to allow AI labs to provide early warnings and systematic notifications to the government on security vulnerabilities, cyberattacks, model jailbreaking, and other matters".
