DeepSeek integrates four teams to launch a new product department, helmed by former Jane Street engineer Cui Tianyi.

Beating AI News Flash: DeepSeek has restructured its organization, integrating the Agent Harness, Web, App, and Platform teams into a Product Department that will oversee product, design, and related R&D work. On October 16, newly appointed head Cui Tianyi confirmed the news to The Paper. Cui, a computer science graduate from Zhejiang University, has won six ACM Asia Regional Contest gold medals and spent nine years at quantitative trading firm Jane Street. He joined DeepSeek in March this year and was tasked with building the Agent Harness team. The team’s developed DeepSeek Harness was open-sourced in August, with Windows and macOS desktop preview versions launched in September. The latest restructuring merges the team in charge of the Agent runtime framework with the web, App, and open platform teams. DeepSeek will no longer separate underlying agent capabilities from user product development, instead unifying oversight under the same department. The new department has also started recruiting product managers and designers.

Cobo Wallet App announces it will shut down its services on December 1, and users must withdraw their assets in advance.

Cobo Wallet announced in a statement that its app services will officially shut down on December 1, 2026. Users are required to withdraw all assets and update Cobo Wallet receiving addresses previously set on other platforms by 23:59 on November 30. The notice warns that users who fail to withdraw assets within the deadline will incur account maintenance fees. This adjustment will directly impact users who still use the Cobo Wallet App for asset storage and receiving, and affected users should promptly confirm their on-chain assets, receiving addresses, and withdrawal whitelist settings on associated platforms. After the app shuts down, Cobo will charge a monthly account maintenance fee for any remaining assets in users’ accounts. The fee is calculated on a coin basis, equal to 2% of the remaining assets, with a minimum monthly charge equivalent to 100 U.S. dollars. Users who fail to complete asset withdrawals before the app shutdown will be deemed to have agreed to this fee arrangement. The statement did not specify the specific reason for the service shutdown, nor did it disclose whether other products or institutional businesses under Cobo will be affected.
