The Initia Foundation has approved funding to cover the iUSD collateral shortfall, restoring its 1:1 peg.
According to an official announcement from the Initia Foundation, the foundation has approved funding to fully restore the 1:1 backing for affected Noble USDC, WETH, and AUSD0 held as collateral for iUSD. The funds will cover verified shortfalls, with caps set at 1.08 million USDC, 105 ETH, and 1.4 million AUSD0 respectively. Disbursements will be executed after reconciliation is completed and final transfer approval is secured. The statement clarified that the affected assets are Noble USDC, WETH, and AUSD0 already held as collateral for iUSD. The foundation’s current initiative aims to restore the backing ratio of these assets to a full 1:1, covering only confirmed actual shortfalls without exceeding the aforementioned caps. Specific transfers will only proceed after reconciliation is finalized and final approval is obtained.

Ghostty 1.4 Released: History Record Limit Increased 5-Fold, Memory Usage Reduced Instead
Beating AI Express (Dongcha) – Terminal emulator Ghostty has released version 1.4.0 after 7 months of development, with nearly 2,900 code commits from 172 contributors. The update primarily resolves long-standing memory usage issues during extended terminal sessions, bringing significant improvements to performance and graphics support.
Key enhancements: The new version automatically compresses off-screen terminal history when idle, decompressing on demand during review or search. Plain text history compression reduces physical memory consumption by 70% to 90%, while the default per-terminal history limit has been raised from 10MB to 50MB – even at full capacity, it remains more memory-efficient than the previous version. The update supports macOS and 64-bit Linux.
Background tabs no longer consume constant GPU resources: Official macOS tests show GPU memory usage dropped from ~385MiB to 18MiB when running 1 visible tab and 20 background tabs. The terminal output reading mechanism was also rewritten, boosting macOS data throughput by 25% to 55%; outputting a 150MB text file via `cat` now takes 566ms, down from 1.5 seconds.
Ghostty has also added animation and relative positioning support for Kitty’s graphics protocol. Previously, GIF animations in terminals only displayed as static images, but they now play correctly. The founder noted this is the first terminal besides Kitty to fully implement this graphics protocol.
Additional updates include support for macOS 27, EGL-based rendering for Linux, and `ghostty +ssh` which automatically installs required terminal configurations when connecting to remote servers. Ten security vulnerabilities were fixed, including one related to Kitty’s graphics instructions: attackers could trick terminals into displaying malicious output, potentially causing crashes, abnormal memory usage, and in specific scenarios, reading or deleting files outside temporary directories.

Intel Earnings Preview: Strong Revenue Growth Expected, Focus on 18A Process Yield and External Order Progress
Intel will release its financial results after U.S. stock market close on Thursday. The 18A yield and capacity ramp-up are entering the delivery phase, with the foundry’s external order execution and the sustainability of tight server CPU supply emerging as key focuses of the earnings report. For fiscal 2026 Q3, single-quarter revenue is projected at $16.487 billion, up 20.76% year-over-year; net profit is forecast at $1.523 billion, down 65.51% year-over-year. Major investment banks have shared their outlooks: Bernstein says its server business growth is enough to offset the negative impact of weak PC market conditions; KeyBanc notes that supply chain tightness has boosted server CPU pricing power, a near-term catalyst; JPMorgan, meanwhile, states its years-long bearish call is now materializing, with current risk-reward balance, significant progress in manufacturing yield and advanced packaging, and strengthened technological competitiveness.

AA Intelligence Index Overhauls Benchmark: Claude Takes Top Spot, DeepSeek and GLM Lag 26 Points Behind
Beating AI News Flash: AI evaluation firm Artificial Analysis has significantly revised its Intelligence Index ranking. The new version adds 132 programming tasks from real open-source projects, requiring AI-generated code to not only pass tests but also meet the standards for project maintainers to accept and merge it. It also adds 70 research tasks, demanding AI complete actual research workflows in a terminal environment.
To reduce the impact of models having seen test questions in advance, 60% of the new ranking’s scoring weight comes from private test sets or hidden answers. The top of the ranking remains dominated by Anthropic and OpenAI. Claude Opus 5.5 takes first place with 58 points, while GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol score 57 and 55 points respectively. Kimi K3.1 Pro earns 46 points, though its model weights are not yet open-source.
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM-5.3, which have open-source weights, only score 32 points each — a full 26 points behind the leader, even lower than Claude Haiku 5.5’s 36 points. Among the new research tasks, GPT-6 Astra has a 63% completion rate, Kimi K3.1 Pro 34%, and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash just 13%.
While GPT-6.1 Sol is 3 points lower than Claude Opus 5.5, when estimated via public API prices, it costs an average of $1.27 per comprehensive evaluation task, compared to $10.04 for the latter — nearly 8 times higher. The new version’s tasks also consume more tokens overall, with the median output tokens per task rising from 35,000 in the old version to 59,000.
