According to DTCC's official website, the U.S. Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced its Tokenization Service has launched, with 34 securities available for tokenization in the initial batch. The tokens are backed 1:1 by securities held in DTC custody, granting holders the same legal rights and economic interests as the underlying assets. Traditional markets and on-chain systems share the same CUSIP code, enabling 24/7 peer-to-peer transfers between DTC-registered wallets. The service features built-in compliance controls and supports near real-time ownership tracking. Initial wallet and application partners include BitGo, Blockdaemon, Fireblocks, HashKey, Kaleido, Prometheum, Talos, Temple, and Tradeweb. DTC’s custodial assets total roughly $30 trillion.

Viewpoint: Bitcoin whales have significantly reduced their holdings over the past 24 hours, and the FOMC curse may strike again.

According to analyst Alicharts, despite Bitcoin rising over 1% today, it remains highly likely to be impacted by the "FOMC curse" and see a sharp decline again. Per its data, Bitcoin's whale group has recently realized around $156 million in profits, adding to potential selling pressure. Meanwhile, the whale group's holdings have decreased by approximately 8,162 BTC over the past 24 hours, worth around $664 million. This decline indicates that large holders are reducing their exposure ahead of the FOMC decision. Alicharts notes Bitcoin's current key support level is near $81,000, where nearly 1 million BTC was traded based on URPD. If this level breaks, the next levels to watch are $77,000 and then $67,000. For a bullish reversal, Bitcoin needs to break above $84,500, where roughly 620,000 BTC was traded. Additionally, recent patterns between FOMC meetings and Bitcoin price fluctuations show that Bitcoin's volatility in the first hour after the meeting is usually less than 1%. A clearer directional trend typically emerges in the following 24 hours and usually persists for up to a week.

Michael Saylor: AI’s ability to attack crypto applications does not equate to Bitcoin losing its value.

Michael Saylor published a post refuting the claim that AI poses a threat to cryptocurrencies. “AI can attack crypto applications, so there’s no reason to hold Bitcoin—just as there’s no reason to speak English because AI can attack communication apps,” Saylor stated. He used this analogy to counter the view that directly ties AI’s ability to attack applications to the value of holding Bitcoin.

Japanese internet giant targeted in a cyberattack, hackers demand ransom in Bitcoin, company leaders refuse to pay the ransom.

According to Nada News, the cloud desktop service of Japanese internet giant GMO Group suffered an unauthorized access, affecting up to 26,739 servers. The hackers’ ransom note demanded payment in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), claiming GMO’s crypto exchange could immediately secure funds, and threatened to carry out abnormal transactions on victim accounts and publicly leak user data. The initial ransom demand was $50 million, later reduced to $1 million. GMO Group representative Masakazu Kumagai explicitly stated the company refused to compromise and paid no ransom, while its crypto exchange GMO Coin confirmed no abnormal operations on customer accounts were detected. Though the hackers subsequently released some data and threatened daily updates, the domain name of the website hosting the leaked information was shut down on the morning of October 28.
