Beating AI News Brief: Tibor Blaho, nicknamed "Bald Guy" for frequently breaking AI product updates, found a new notice hidden on ChatGPT’s web subscription checkout page: “Starting December, ChatGPT and Codex will share plan usage limits.” Yesterday, another user spotted a prompt about merging Chat and Work features on ChatGPT. Tibo later clarified that the team plans to integrate the two this year, but no official launch has been announced. It now appears OpenAI is not only unifying its chat and work interfaces, but may also adjust usage limit calculations. In fact, Claude has long operated this way—surprisingly, ChatGPT is finally following suit. However, OpenAI had just announced it would double usage limits for its Pro and other plans when this unpublicized new rule was uncovered. This looks like a bait-and-switch trick, treating users like monkeys.
