Binance is in talks with Malaysian regulators over securing an operating license, seeking to re-enter the local market.

ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), reposted its partnership announcement with Trade.xyz on its official X (Twitter) account, revising the wording to add phrases such as "plans to introduce" and "subject to regulatory approval". The announcement states that ICE and Trade.xyz plan to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual contracts to the U.S. If regulatory approval is obtained, ICE will operate the regulated U.S. version of Trade.xyz’s market, leveraging Trade.xyz’s expertise as a leading deployer of real-world asset perpetual contracts on Hyperliquid. The new trading venue will operate independently of ICE’s institutional futures business, delivering a trading experience tailored for retail participants. Upon launch, U.S. traders will be able to trade a range of macro-market assets around the clock, including crypto assets, stocks, indices, commodities, and foreign exchange. Users will access the platform via U.S.-regulated Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs), which will conduct KYC/AML checks, including a joint venture between ICE and OKX. ICE and Trade.xyz will pursue necessary approvals to launch KYC-compliant perpetual contract markets based on Hyperliquid, including applying for regulatory approval required to support leveraged trading.

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis disclosed it has experienced a cybersecurity incident, with some non-sensitive customer data exposed. The company said that based on ongoing investigations, no evidence of unauthorized access to investigative materials, authentication credentials, or session tokens has been identified. Chainalysis has engaged third-party cybersecurity experts and is leveraging large language models to support security reviews and bolster defenses. The firm stressed that this incident is unrelated to the recent crypto asset theft at Binance. Crypto analyst Darkfost stated in a post that the average cost basis of Bitcoin short-term holders (STH) is nearly $76,000, with the current price testing their holding confidence. The STH MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value Ratio) is approaching the neutral level of 1; the indicator rose above 1.18 in late September, hitting its highest point since July 2025, signaling that the group’s unrealized profit was at a more than one-year high at that time. According to a report from the Financial Times, after Binance’s $6.3 billion theft, multiple cryptocurrency exchanges are ramping up security measures and updating customers on their fund safety status. Coinbase Chief Security Officer Jeff Lunglhofer said the firm has made partial adjustments to its cold storage systems “out of an abundance of caution.” Gemini has added alerts and restrictions for fund transfers; Kraken stated it is closely monitoring the situation, with platform services operating normally. According to CNBC, Google parent Alphabet’s stock fell more than 12% to $285 after the release of its third-quarter earnings, with its market capitalization shrinking nearly $500 billion.
