Analysis: BTC's "Seller Exhaustion Index" hits the cycle's second-lowest level, suggesting the bear market bottom may have been confirmed.

Market analyst Murphy says Bitcoin's Seller Exhaustion Index may trigger its second signal point. On August 11 this year, the BTC Seller Exhaustion Index provided the last accurate bottom-buying signal before the market rally began. The index measures both low volatility and high losses, with a signal triggered when both conditions are met simultaneously. Historically, the index only falls into the "Extreme Exhaustion Zone" (red area) during cycle bottom periods, and this zone rarely reappears once the bottom structure is completed. This means even if prices drop lower afterward, the index will not hit a lower level (marked as 1 and 2). Therefore, during a single cycle, if traders miss the absolute low (marked 1), they should seize the secondary low (marked 2) as much as possible. As previously noted, the secondary low (2) has higher certainty than the absolute low (1), though the risk is that its price may also be higher than that of the absolute low. The secondary low (2) has recently emerged: when BTC prices pulled back to $77,000 a few days ago, the Seller Exhaustion Index formed the secondary low for this cycle, only higher than the level recorded in August this year. The analyst reminds that the analysis is for reference only and does not constitute direct investment advice.

Goldman Sachs previews U.S. midterm elections: Democrats are likely to win control of the House, with fiscal policy, tariffs, and AI regulation emerging as key points of contention.

Goldman Sachs has released a US economic analysis report noting that the Democratic Party’s probability of securing a majority in the House of Representatives exceeds 90%, while control of the Senate remains uncertain. If the Democrats take the House, fiscal deadlines including the December 11 expiration of spending authorization and the 2027 debt ceiling will become key legislative battlegrounds. Goldman Sachs projects that the Democrats may leverage forced events such as government shutdown risks or the debt ceiling to push for policy concessions. In a Democratic victory scenario, while major fiscal policy changes are unlikely over the next two years, spending will likely rise slightly, with 2027 expenditure projected to increase by roughly 0.25% of GDP. On tariffs, Goldman Sachs believes that while the Democrats aim to roll back some tariffs, Trump will likely release the results of the Section 301 investigation and impose new tariffs after the midterm elections. The impact of these new tariffs will outweigh the Democrats’ partial cuts, potentially leading to a net increase of just under 2 percentage points in the US’ effective tariff rate. In the AI and data center space, attention to data center issues is expected to cool after the election, with little likelihood of a nationwide construction pause. Congress’ focus will shift to AI regulation, where a moderate compromise including basic federal oversight and corporate self-testing may be reached. If the Democrats win either chamber of Congress, investigations into large tech companies are anticipated, and stricter AI restriction bills may also be introduced at the state level.

Over the past two days, Paradigm has unstaked 2.55 million HYPE tokens from 15 addresses, valued at approximately $224 million.

According to MLM On Chain monitoring, Paradigm has un-staked 2.55 million HYPE tokens via 15 separate wallets over the past two days, worth roughly $224 million. This accounts for 17.85% of its current 14.26 million HYPE tokens staked on Hypercore, which are valued at approximately $1.26 billion. The monitor noted that Paradigm also un-staked large volumes of HYPE several weeks ago, before aggregating the tokens into new wallets and re-staking them, so a similar operation is expected this time. The specific arrangements following this un-staking remain unconfirmed as of now.

Solana has officially merged the SIMD-0567 proposal, planning to replace the existing ATA program with p-ATA that delivers higher compute unit efficiency.

According to Solana’s official GitHub page, the Solana Foundation has merged the SIMD-0567 proposal into its main branch. The proposal aims to replace the existing Associated Token Account (ATA) program with an optimized version called p-ATA, built on Pinocchio, to reduce compute unit (CU) consumption and boost execution efficiency. Per the proposal, p-ATA uses a no-standard-library design, avoids heap memory allocation, parses instruction and account data via zero-copy, and minimizes dependencies. Developers’ prior benchmark tests show p-ATA cuts transaction execution time by roughly 35% compared to the legacy program. When a Rent Sysvar account is provided, CU consumption drops further, though actual execution time rises slightly, with transaction-level latency remaining around 1%. The proposal went through multiple rounds of technical review, and was officially merged 17 hours ago after completing formal verification of the new program, updating the program’s binary hash, and finalizing the migration process. It’s important to note that merging the proposal does not equate to a mainnet program replacement; the new program still needs to be deployed in line with the established migration workflow.

RUNE has dropped around 20% in the past 24 hours after being used to launder over $40 million for Binance hackers.

According to HTX market data, THORChain’s native token RUNE plummeted around 20% in the past 24 hours, briefly falling below $0.5. Notably, during the earlier Bitget hack incident, massive funds flowed through THORChain’s cross-chain swaps, driving a sharp surge in trading volume and fees. The market viewed this as a positive for the protocol’s revenue, leading to a corresponding rally in RUNE. This latest decline stems from heightened regulatory and security risks, as the market worries whether THORChain can uphold its permissionless model while resolving the conflict between security and regulation. On-chain data shows that after the recent Binance hack, hackers deposited approximately 185.1 million TRX and 3.83 million USDT via THORChain, totaling around 2,697 transactions. They netted roughly $48.3 million in swaps through THORChain, with actual proceeds of about $42.7 million—around $5.7 million lost to fees and slippage. Additionally, the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, and IRS Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) jointly requested THORNode, RPC nodes, and DeFi service providers to block fund flows linked to North Korean hackers. THORChain co-founder Chad Barraford stated that node operators have no more information than the general public and made no explicit commitment to proactively block addresses. Another co-founder, JP Thor, publicly opposed cooperating with freezing efforts, arguing that the protocol should adhere to decentralization and permissionless principles.
