Apple joins the bond issuance wave, seeking to raise up to approximately $7 billion.

According to Bloomberg, Apple has launched a seven-tranche U.S. dollar investment-grade bond issuance, aiming to raise up to around $70 billion, joining a recent wave of frequent bond issuances by tech giants. People familiar with the matter said the bonds have tenors spanning 2 to 10 years, with the longest tranche carrying an initial guidance of a 0.8 percentage point premium over U.S. Treasury yields. The relevant details have not been officially announced yet. The issuance is co-underwritten by Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including share repurchases, dividends, and capital expenditures. Apple’s last bond offering was in May 2025, when it raised $4.5 billion.
