According to Bloomberg, a diplomat familiar with the negotiations revealed that the U.S. and Iran are moving closer to a potential breakthrough to end the conflict, with Tehran showing willingness to discuss nuclear program-related issues it had previously refused to address. The diplomat noted that Iran is reviewing a proposal on its nuclear activities put forward by Qatar, the main mediator. If Iran makes concessions on this matter, it could drive significant progress in the talks. Negotiations have been stalled since the collapse of a temporary peace agreement the two sides reached in June. U.S. President Trump recently held a phone call with Qatari leaders to discuss efforts to ease regional tensions, indicating Trump’s desire to end the conflict, which has been a key backdrop for the Democrats’ defeat of the Republicans in this week’s U.S. midterm elections.

According to the South China Morning Post, Joseph Chee, Chairman and CEO of Nasdaq-listed Solana Company, said the firm plans to expand its operations in Hong Kong to tap into the region’s growing demand for tokenization. The Hong Kong team will grow from its current size of fewer than 10 people to up to 30. Chee pointed out that the U.S. has made “much faster” progress in tokenization, while many large financial institutions in Hong Kong have only just started considering or launching tokenization projects. The company expects to assess the Hong Kong market in about six months; if no major tokenization service providers have emerged there by then, it may build its own team to meet local banks’ needs. Last month, Solana Company was designated a “key enterprise” by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Key Enterprise Introduction Office. Its Hong Kong operations will also serve as the new Asia-Pacific headquarters, positioning itself as a digital asset infrastructure and service provider.

FxPro’s Chief Market Strategist Alex Kuptsikevich said that weighed down by concerns over tech stocks, global risk appetite has declined, leading the U.S. dollar to find support and rebound. Investors’ worries about the future of artificial intelligence have prompted them to sell off equities and shift to safe-haven assets. Previously, investors primarily allocated funds to safe-haven assets such as U.S. Treasuries, gold, the Japanese yen, and the Swiss franc; now the U.S. dollar has also come into favor.
