MicroBit Bitcoin and Ethereum Spot ETF Listed on HKEX

On August 22nd, the two virtual asset spot ETFs of Hong Kong asset management company MicroBit Asset Management were officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. They are the MicroBit Bitcoin Spot ETF (HKD counter stock code: 3430.HK, USD counter stock code: 9430.HK) and the MicroBit Ethereum Spot ETF (HKD counter stock code: 3425.HK, USD counter stock code: 9425.HK). The management fee for both ETFs is 0.5%.

Recently, several Bitcoin ancient whales have significantly increased their ETH holdings, with one address holding as much as 83,000 BTC.

On August 22nd, as monitored by lookonchain, a Bitcoin ancient whale received 100,784 BTC seven years ago (valued at $642 million), and recently it ended its dormancy. It sold BTC and simultaneously bought 62,914 ETH spot (worth $267 million) at the same time, and opened a long position of up to 135,265 ETH (worth $577 million). Meanwhile, lookonchain just discovered another Bitcoin ancient whale that also deposited BTC into Hyperliquid to sell and buy ETH. On-chain tracking shows that this veteran player received 85,947 BTC seven years ago (worth $547 million), and it is likely that the two are the same entity. Currently, it has been confirmed that their six wallets still hold 83,585 BTC (worth $9.42 billion).

Yesterday, the US Spot Bitcoin ETF saw a net outflow of $1.944 billion

On August 22nd, as per Farside's monitoring, yesterday the net outflow of the US spot Bitcoin ETF was $194.4 million, indicating the fifth consecutive day of net outflows. Here is the breakdown: The net outflow of IBIT was $127.5 million. The net outflow of ARKB was $43.3 million. The net outflow of FBTC was $31.8 million. The net inflow of EZBC was $3.2 million. And the net inflow of Grayscale BTC was $5.2 million.
