South Korea plans to raise the trading threshold for single-stock leveraged ETFs in September, lifting the minimum trading unit to 20 shares.

According to official announcements, Binance will add GameStop bStocks (GMEB) as an eligible collateral asset for Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin, and Portfolio Margin Pro starting at 12:00 UTC on August 12. Qualified users can use this bStocks token as collateral for margin trading, and margin trading support will also be enabled for related GMEB trading pairs. However, lending functionality is not currently supported for this asset.

Payment public blockchain Tempo announced in a post that its weekly stablecoin transfer volume has hit an all-time high. Last week, Tempo's transaction volume exceeded $175 million, with its cumulative transaction volume surpassing $1.2 billion since its launch in March.

CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju stated in a post that Bitcoin’s current price trend is primarily driven by the futures market. Open interest continues to rise, but on-chain spot demand remains in net negative territory. He noted that a sustainable rally requires growth in both spot and futures demand, adding that the market is currently more dependent on leveraged funds rather than genuine buying support. Ki Young Ju also pointed out that April’s market performance demonstrated futures-driven rallies lacking spot demand backing tend to be unsustainable.

According to Bloomberg, prediction market platform Polymarket experienced a trading boom during the 2026 World Cup, with heavy betting on match scores, celebrity game attendance, and player-related events generating massive trading volume for the platform. However, once the World Cup ended, market enthusiasm cooled rapidly, leaving Polymarket in a "trough period". Both Polymarket and Kalshi, the two leading prediction market platforms, reached record trading volumes during the tournament. But as of the end of July, the combined weekly trading volume of Polymarket’s international and U.S. platforms has fallen 56% from its June all-time high. By contrast, Kalshi saw a roughly 25% decline over the same period. Bloomberg points out that Polymarket and Kalshi had previously competed fiercely in the prediction market sector, but with a lack of major sports events or political developments to fuel user demand, Polymarket’s downward trend in trading activity is intensifying.

Glassnode’s co-founder has published a post noting that Bitcoin has accumulated significant long liquidation risk around the $61,000 level over the past several weeks. He explained that a drop in BTC price to this zone could trigger forced liquidations of leveraged long positions, which would further amplify selling pressure and drive prices lower. Market participants should currently monitor areas where leveraged positions are concentrated, as a liquidation wave could exacerbate short-term price volatility via forced selling.

According to Bitget market data, Hong Kong-listed South China Two-times Leveraged Samsung Electronics (07747.HK) rose more than 17%, while Nan Fung SK Hynix (07709.HK) gained over 16%.
