Per official announcements, Circle has launched the Digital Asset Backed Borrowing (DABB) service for eligible Circle Mint LLC clients, with support for the Arc and Ethereum mainnets. The service allows clients to deposit BTC, mint Circle Wrapped Bitcoin (cirBTC), then borrow USDC using cirBTC as collateral via supported third-party lending markets. Borrowed funds are deposited directly into Circle Mint accounts, enabling clients to access liquidity without selling their BTC. DABB integrates BTC deposits, cirBTC minting, collateralized borrowing, and USDC settlement into a unified workflow, letting clients manage their collateral independently and add collateral or repay loans as needed. The service currently supports Morpho-related markets, with plans to expand to additional lending markets and third-party platforms going forward. Parameters including borrowing interest rates, collateral requirements, liquidation thresholds, and liquidity are set by the selected market and subject to change.
