NVIDIA has just claimed the top spot in U.S. open-source AI models, only for Meta to overtake it with a score of 39, while its agent benchmark lags behind Chinese models.

Beating AI News Flash from Dong察: NVIDIA’s U.S.-based open-source model held the top spot for just a few hours. NVIDIA’s Nemotron 3.5 Super VL scored 26.5 points on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, outperforming all previous U.S. open-source models. But Meta’s subsequently released Muse Spark Open scored 39 points, 12.5 points ahead of NVIDIA, to become the new U.S. leader. However, when looking at the global open-source model rankings, Meta still lags behind multiple Chinese models. Xiaomi’s MiMo-V2.6-Pro leads with 46 points, Zhipu AI’s GLM-5.3 scores 45 points, while Muse Spark Open ties with DeepSeek V4.1 Flash at 39 points. Muse Spark Open is already close to Meta’s closed-source flagship Muse Spark 1.2, launched in August, which scored 40 points. Among the top 9 highest-scoring open-source models, Muse Spark Open ranks last in the combined performance of 4 Agent tests, but places fourth in the total of the other 6 tests. The 6-point gap between it and Zhipu AI’s GLM-5.3 comes entirely from the Agent tests. On the contrary, it leads all open-source models with 25 points in the knowledge accuracy test AA-Omniscience, with a hallucination rate of only 24% – the lowest among open-source models scoring over 30 points. Muse Spark Open also has strong token utilization efficiency: it outputs an average of about 40,000 tokens per test, 43% less than GLM-5.3. The two have similar API unit prices, but because Muse consumes fewer tokens, its average cost per test is only $0.84, less than half of GLM-5.3’s, though still about 3 times that of DeepSeek V4.1 Flash.

Tencent's WorkBuddy Accused of Plagiarizing Claude Code: 224 Identical Text Segments, Even Internal Code Names Identified

Dongcha’s Beating AI News Brief: A technical comparison report alleges that Tencent’s WorkBuddy AI International Edition reused internal content from Claude Code. The report’s authors unpacked the WorkBuddy desktop client, comparing its built-in CodeBuddy CLI with the leaked Claude Code source code, and claimed to have found 224 identical text segments, with the longest reaching 494 characters. Notably, in Claude Code’s memory management file `memoryTypes.ts` alone, 46 out of 69 candidate text segments appeared in WorkBuddy. The overlapping content includes internal prompts that instruct the AI when to retain user corrections and approvals, not just generic tool names. The report also noted that WorkBuddy retains five internal event names prefixed with `tengu_` (such as `tengu_goal_set`) and paths like `/tmp/claude` and `.claude/debug`. `tengu` is Claude Code’s internal code name. However, Tencent’s CodeBuddy natively supports Claude Code’s plugin specifications, so some identical paths may be for compatibility. Claude Code, a closed-source commercial product, accidentally leaked around 510,000 lines of source code on March 31 this year.

Osmosis has discovered a vulnerability in its bOSMO redemption contract, and will compensate approximately 40,500 OSMO tokens to 1,037 affected accounts.

According to a disclosure from the Osmosis Community Hall, the liquid staking token bOSMO issued by Backbone Labs has a redemption contract vulnerability. Since April 2026, the contract has been double-counting OSMO staked by Backbone’s own validators during each redemption, leaving users receiving roughly 50% more OSMO than they are entitled to, with the excess costs covered by other bOSMO holders. To avoid further harm to other holders during community fund pool redemptions, relevant parties redeemed around 776,000 bOSMO in a single transaction on October 10, extracting approximately 1.2997 million OSMO. The OSMO involved in this redemption is expected to complete unbonding on October 24. Osmosis announced it will compensate 1,037 accounts holding bOSMO at the snapshot, totaling about 40,508 OSMO, calculated at a pre-redemption rate of 1.1174 OSMO per bOSMO. The compensation will be automatically distributed after unbonding finishes on October 24, with no action needed from users. However, bOSMO’s asset backing has dropped sharply post-redemption: currently, redeeming 1 bOSMO via Backbone only yields around 0.06 OSMO. As the vulnerability remains unpatched, new bOSMO can still be minted at a cost of roughly 0.039 OSMO, which may cause some liquidity pools to have prices significantly deviating from actual redemption value. Osmosis therefore advises users not to purchase bOSMO or provide liquidity to related pools, and urges existing liquidity providers to withdraw their funds.
