Coinbase: Bitcoin has demonstrated resilience amid two rounds of semiconductor stock sell-offs, and is no longer viewed by the market as a leveraged proxy for tech stocks.

According to BIT (bit.com) market data, US stocks opened with broad gains across the Neocloud, storage, optical communications, and semiconductor sectors. Neocloud-related stocks rallied across the board: TeraWulf (WULF) rose 6.66%, Hut 8 (HUT) up 5.78%, Cipher Digital (CIFR) up 5.74%, Applied Digital (APLD) up 5.35%, IREN up 5.32%, and Nebius (NBIS) up 4.05%. Storage stocks also strengthened, with Seagate Technology (STX) up 5.55%, SK Hynix (SKHY) up 4.08%, Western Digital (WDC) up 3.98%, SanDisk (SNDK) up 3.77%, and Micron Technology (MU) up 3.48%. All optical communication-related stocks advanced, including Credo (CRDO) up 8.38%, Lumentum (LITE) up 5.84%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) up 4.59%, Ciena (CIEN) up 4.39%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) up 4.01%, and Coherent (COHR) up 3.88%. Most semiconductor stocks rose, with Marvell Technology (MRVL) up 4.01%, AMD up 3.44%, ASML (ASML) up 3.07%, Arm (ARM) up 2.46%, and NVIDIA (NVDA) up 2.29%.

According to market data from BIT (bit.com), SpaceX (SPCX) once surged nearly 10%, notching its largest intraday gain since August, and is currently quoted at $159.7.

GrayScale has announced the launch of an in-kind subscription model, enabling investors to submit eligible digital assets directly in exchange for shares of GrayScale’s corresponding investment products. The firm noted that this approach reduces self-custody burdens, may lower transaction execution costs, and facilitates the integration of related investments into standard portfolio management. Tether announced it led the pre-seed funding round for Bolivian fintech firm Peso, backing its expansion of stablecoin payment infrastructure across Latin America and driving adoption of USDT in everyday use cases including retail, e-commerce, food delivery, ride-hailing, and banking payments. Peso offers USDT accounts that combine savings, spending, investment, and cross-border transfers, and integrates USDT with Bolivia’s banking system via QR codes and the ACH payment network, enabling conversion between stablecoins and local fiat currency. Peso has also integrated USDT payments into digital services platform Yango, allowing users to pay for food delivery directly within the app using USDT. The round’s proceeds will be used to expand Peso’s local fiat on- and off-ramps in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina, as well as to develop its merchant-facing POS payment network and virtual account infrastructure. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said: “Peso is building everyday consumption infrastructure, turning USDT from a savings tool into a payment channel for users’ daily needs.”

According to an official announcement, Robinhood Ventures Fund I has purchased $30 million worth of preferred stock in Erebor Bank, with the investment closing on September 17. Erebor is a U.S. national chartered bank focused on the innovative economy, serving sectors including defense, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and deep tech. It obtained a full national bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and FDIC deposit insurance in February 2026, and its deposit base has since grown to over $7 billion. Founded in 2025, the bank is backed by institutional investors including Valor Equity Partners, Lux Capital, and 8VC. RVI, the first fund launched by Robinhood Ventures, listed on the New York Stock Exchange on March 6, 2026. This closed-end fund primarily invests in private companies, aiming to provide retail investors with exposure to private markets, with no requirement for accredited investor status or minimum investment amount; it charges management fees but no performance fees.
