South Korean stocks opened lower but rallied to close higher, as strong exports boosted bargain-hunting buying.

On Monday, boosted by strong export data and the market's "buy-the-dip" sentiment, South Korea's stock market recouped its morning losses to turn higher. The KOSPI index rose more than 1% intraday, after earlier falling nearly 2% in morning trade amid concerns over massive spending by AI firms, following a downturn on Wall Street. Kiwoom Securities analyst Han Ji-young said: "The stock market has once again entered oversold territory, with fundamentals remaining solid and corporate earnings expectations also improving. October's export data exceeded expectations, raising the likelihood that the market will further revise up consensus earnings forecasts." Driven by strong global demand for AI investment, which lifted South Korea's chip shipments, the country's October exports nearly doubled, marking the largest increase in over 50 years. A survey showed that South Korea's manufacturing activity growth slowed to its weakest level in eight months in October, weighed down by weaker output and demand. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung pledged to make bold investments in artificial intelligence to boost the country's economic growth potential.

Yilihua: Binance's profits are sufficient to cover losses from the hack, and the market is more concerned about security risks of trading platforms in the AI era.

Liquid Capital founder Li Yihua stated in a post that based on current circumstances, Binance’s earnings are sufficient to cover the losses from the recent hack, with no issues regarding asset security or liquidity—this is entirely distinct from the FTX incident in the past. He pointed out that the core problem now is how trading platforms including Binance can prevent subsequent thefts. Market concerns extend beyond this incident itself: they center on whether, in the AI era, hackers’ attack capabilities have become unbalanced with platforms’ defense capabilities, and whether attackers have left other hidden security risks within the platforms. He believes that Binance and other such trading platforms should provide users with detailed, reassuring security response plans.

Analysis: BTC's "Seller Exhaustion Index" hits the cycle's second-lowest level, suggesting the bear market bottom may have been confirmed.

Market analyst Murphy says Bitcoin's Seller Exhaustion Index may trigger its second signal point. On August 11 this year, the BTC Seller Exhaustion Index provided the last accurate bottom-buying signal before the market rally began. The index measures both low volatility and high losses, with a signal triggered when both conditions are met simultaneously. Historically, the index only falls into the "Extreme Exhaustion Zone" (red area) during cycle bottom periods, and this zone rarely reappears once the bottom structure is completed. This means even if prices drop lower afterward, the index will not hit a lower level (marked as 1 and 2). Therefore, during a single cycle, if traders miss the absolute low (marked 1), they should seize the secondary low (marked 2) as much as possible. As previously noted, the secondary low (2) has higher certainty than the absolute low (1), though the risk is that its price may also be higher than that of the absolute low. The secondary low (2) has recently emerged: when BTC prices pulled back to $77,000 a few days ago, the Seller Exhaustion Index formed the secondary low for this cycle, only higher than the level recorded in August this year. The analyst reminds that the analysis is for reference only and does not constitute direct investment advice.
