Why Ethereum Is Still the Smartest Bet in Crypto

Despite lagging behind other coins, Ethereum remains the strongest long-term altcoin investment. ETH/BTC just bounced from historical support, and fundamentals like decentralization, scarcity, and institutional trust remain intact. The next major move hinges on a Fed policy shift, expected by late 2025. Target: $10K–$12K ETH.

Ethereum is the best crypto to buy right now🧠

$ETH hasn’t pumped like the others.

But the fundamentals haven’t changed and neither has my conviction.

Here’s my updated timeline and price target 🧵👇

1/ Is it time to give up on $ETH? Absolutely not.

It’s lagged, but my thesis remains intact. This isn’t blind faith, it’s built on fundamentals that still hold true.

Let’s break it down.

2/ $ETH is trading near $2,500, up significantly from the 2022 lows.

More importantly, ETH/BTC just bounced off multi-year support levels. Historically the bottom zone before altcoin cycles begin.

These bounces have always aligned with global liquidity turning.

3/ If ETH/BTC reclaims the 0.382 Fib, it moves to ~0.04, a 60% gain vs $BTC. A 0.5 Fib retrace would take it beyond 0.05.

$ETH is consolidating around these levels. This is a strong accumulation range before macro conditions flip.

4/ Only two onchain tech stacks matter today: Ethereum (EVM) and Solana (SVM).

Solana’s faster. But Ethereum powers most RWAs, stablecoins, and remains the only altcoin with a spot ETF.

It’s the closest thing we have to a digital commodity.

5/ If Ethereum fails to bounce this cycle, it’s not just an ETH problem, it’s a sign that long-term altcoin investing is broken.

ETH is still:
✅ Decentralised
✅ Scarce
✅ Legally recognised as a commodity
✅ Trusted by institutions

No other altcoin checks all those boxes.

6/ ETH’s next move depends on the Fed. QT has slowed to $5B/month, the lowest possible.

The next signal is a full pause, which could happen by Q3–Q4. Watch the Global Liquidity Index, not M2 or rate cuts.

No QE announcement is coming. Stealth liquidity is the real driver.

7/ My updated #Ethereum timeline:

• QT pause likely by Q3-Q4
• ETH/BTC bottom follows
• Real upside kicks off in late 2025 into 2026

This is when I plan to scale in heavily.

8/ My $ETH price target hasn’t changed. Just the timeline.

I still expect:
• $10K $ETH if $BTC hits $200K and ETH/BTC reaches 0.05
• $12K $ETH if $BTC hits $250K or ETH/BTC reaches 0.06

This isn't a moonshot, this is just a repeat of past cycles.

9/ $ETH is 22% of my portfolio.

It’s not the flashiest coin. But it’s the most structurally sound bet in crypto. When liquidity turns, I’ll add more.

10/ The altcoin cycle hasn’t even started yet.

ETH isn’t dead. It’s just waiting for the Fed.

Zoom out. Watch liquidity. The next altcoin season will be powered by Ethereum.

Agree or disagree? What’s your $ETH plan this cycle? 👇
