HyperLabs applies to redeem approximately 180,000 HYPE tokens, valued at around $14.49 million.

According to Yu Jin Monitoring, HyperLabs, the development team of Hyperliquid, filed a request to redeem 179,706 HYPE tokens from staking roughly 10 hours ago, worth approximately $14.49 million. Under staking withdrawal rules, this batch of HYPE is expected to be credited on the evening of November 4, around 7 days from now. Yu Jin pointed out that the redemption path follows the same process as the team’s prior token unlocks: after exiting staking, HYPE will first be allocated to team members, then traded over-the-counter (OTC) via market maker/institutional trading platform Flowdesk. The associated staking address is 0x43e...251.

Hackers claim to have leaked data of over 40,000 employees of the US Department of Homeland Security via an Okta breach, with DDoSecrets publicly releasing the information.

According to TechCrunch, a hacker identifying as "Department of Peace" claimed to have obtained a large volume of employee data from the Okta single sign-on system used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The data was publicly released Wednesday as the "Icepick" dataset by transparency organization Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoSecrets). The leaked records number over 40,000, roughly one-fifth of DHS’s approximately 220,000 employees. The data includes names, job titles, work emails, phone numbers, office locations, and internal system access permissions. Among the records, around 21,000 belong to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) staff, roughly 10,000 relate to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and nearly 1,000 are from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). TechCrunch said it verified the authenticity of some data, with timestamps indicating the data was exported around mid-August. The hacker also provided the data to journalist and hacker maia arson crimew, who then forwarded it to DDoSecrets. Okta responded that its systems and data were not breached; a DHS spokesperson did not immediately reply to a request for comment. The report notes this is the third high-profile U.S. government data breach in the past month, following earlier thefts of FBI personnel files and Pentagon personnel data.

U.S. Department of Justice is investigating NVIDIA's acquisition of Hugging Face.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched an investigation into Nvidia’s acquisition of open-source AI model platform Hugging Face, focusing on its impact on AI competition and Nvidia’s business practices. Citing two people familiar with the matter, Reuters reported that DOJ officials have questioned whether the roughly $129 billion deal would give Nvidia control over a critical distribution hub in the AI sector, and whether Nvidia could use Hugging Face to harm competitors or leverage it as a bargaining chip. Officials also raised questions about Hugging Face’s rivals. The sources said the DOJ’s recent broad investigation covers Nvidia’s acquisitions and investments, sales practices, and whether the company pressures customers. The probe began under the Biden administration and has continued into the Trump administration; Reuters noted there is no indication that Trump is involved. Separately, the DOJ is also examining whether, after obtaining technology licenses from chip startup Groq and hiring its core engineers, Nvidia allocated more AI chips to customers that purchased both networking equipment and Groq processors. The SchedMD acquisition announced in December 2025 and the Run:ai acquisition have also come under scrutiny. Reuters emphasized that an investigation does not constitute evidence of wrongdoing and does not necessarily lead to litigation. When Nvidia announced its Hugging Face acquisition last month, it stated that the platform would continue to support partnerships with all types of semiconductor, cloud, and AI vendors, and remain open to the entire AI ecosystem. The deal is expected to close in the first half of next year.

Google’s Gemini 4 Carbon Returns to Top Tier, Surpasses Opus 5.5 to Top the AA Intelligence Index Ranking

Insight Beating AI Flash News: Google Unveils Gemini 4 Carbon. It has been only half a month since its previous flagship model Argon was made available to the public. Third-party evaluation firm Artificial Analysis’s latest Intelligence Index v5.0 shows Carbon topped the ranking with 59 points, outperforming Claude Opus 5.5 (58 points) and GPT-6 Astra (57 points), and scoring 9 points higher than Argon. The upgrade is particularly prominent in cybersecurity: Carbon can not only detect software vulnerabilities, but also verify whether they are exploitable and generate fix patches. It ranked first in all three corresponding tests, with scores of 88.2%, 54.8% and 71.0% respectively. However, Carbon is not fully leading: in Artificial Analysis’s programming agent ranking, it still lags behind Opus 5.5. Google has not yet made Carbon available to the public. This week, it will first be trialed by a small number of cybersecurity defense teams before gradually expanding access. The API’s promotional price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, the same as Argon. Prices will double after the promotion ends.
